Just use some round and flat Lego pieces to assemble a basic wheel shape, then attach it to your creation with a hinge or swivel piece. Easy peasy!
Honestly, just wing it! Lego and creativity go hand in hand, so there's no wrong way to make it!
In my experience, start with a round piece for the wheel and a flat piece for the base. Use a small connector to let the wheel move. It worked great for me!
