Use a lot of hidden blocks and warp pipes that lead to nowhere or even back to the beginning. It鈥檚 hilarious when players think they've found a shortcut, only to be sent back!
Just put a flagpole at the beginning and let them run past it thinking there's more level. Trust me, the confusion is priceless.
