There's no easy shortcut, but if you keep playing and experimenting with different ingredient combos, you'll eventually unlock more and more potions. Just enjoy the process!
I've unlocked almost all potions by mixing every ingredient I could find. Focus on gathering as many ingredients as possible and keep experimenting!
Check out the Wacky Wizards potion book in-game. It lists all available potions and their ingredients. Complete quests and events to gather rare ingredients too!
