How to Make Following List Private on Instagram
Sadly, Instagram doesn’t let you hide your following list directly. But you can make your whole account private. That way, only your approved followers can see who you follow. Go to Settings > Privacy > Account Privacy and switch 'Private Account' on.

Just make your account private! That way, only ppl you approve can see your follower list. Settings > Privacy > Account Privacy.
I made my account private so only ppl I approve can see who I follow. It’s the next best thing, trust me!
