How to make Geometry Dash on Scratch
SigningSpine·7 months agoTo create Geometry Dash on Scratch, start by setting up your game area, with a player sprite that can jump and fall. Use variables to keep track of the player's state (like jumping or falling) and obstacles positions. For obstacles, you can make simple shapes to start. Then, work on the gravity by coding movements that mimic the jumping and falling actions. Use the 'If touching' block to handle collisions with obstacles. Don’t forget to add a catchy soundtrack that syncs with your level's challenges for that authentic Geometry Dash feel!

Actually, why bother making it from scratch when you can play the real deal? Geometry Dash already offers a ton of levels and the level editor lets you get creative without starting from zero.
Just start simple man, like, grab a player sprite, make it jump with a space bar, and throw some blocks in there. If it hits a block, boom, go back to start. That's your basic Geometry Dash right there. Add in tunes and fancier obstacles once you got that down.
