Just head to your profile, find the 'Life Event' button near the status update area, and fill in the details. Done and done!
From my experience, the quickest way is to go to your profile, click 'About,' then 'Family and Relationships,' and choose the type of life event you want to add.
You should see a 'Life Event' button when you go to create a new post. Fill out the info and you're good to go!
