Making Pokemon card proxies is actually pretty simple! Just find high-quality images of the cards you want to proxy online and print them out on regular paper. Then, cut out the prints and slide them into card sleeves with a real Pokemon card or a blank card for backing. This gives the proxy the right thickness and feel. It's a great way to test out decks before investing in the real cards.

Hot take: Why bother with proxies? Just play with the real cards. It's more fun and keeps the game authentic.

I've made tons of proxies for my decks, and best advice? Use a good color printer and thicker paper, like photo paper, for higher quality proxies. Cutting them out neatly makes a big difference too. It helps if the sleeves are opaque so you can't tell they're proxies from the back.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
