Add this launch option in Steam: `-window-mode exclusive -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080`. Worked wonders for me!
Definitely update your graphics drivers. I had issues until I updated, then it was smooth sailing!
Honestly, just make sure no other apps are running in the background. Helps a lot more than you'd think.
First thing, drop the graphics settings to medium or low. Trust me, Valheim still looks awesome!
