I did it by copying a Unicode blank character into the name field. Works like a charm! Just Google 'Unicode blank character', copy it, and paste it.

Open Among Us, click on 'Online', then go to the name field where you usually type your name. Delete your name and copy this blank space (⠀⠀⠀) into the name field. Leave the name as is and join a game with your new invisible name!
