Don't forget to playtest! You can have a great theory but until you see how it plays out in the game, you won't really know if your deck works. Play against friends or use online platforms to test and tweak your deck as needed!

Start by deciding on a theme or strategy for your deck! Do you want to focus on a particular type (like Water or Fire) or perhaps a certain mechanic (like healing or energy acceleration)? Once you've got that down, make sure to include a good balance of Pokemon, Trainer, and Energy cards. Generally, a solid deck has around 15-20 Pokemon, 10-15 Energy cards, and the rest should be Trainer cards. Remember, synergy is key! Cards that work well together will make your deck way more effective.

lol just copy the deck of the last tournament winner and tweak it a bit. seriously tho, deck building is an art and copying can be a good start to understand strong combos and strategies, then you can start swapping cards out to fit your play style better.

Energy cards are important but don't overdo it. I've seen too many new players pack their deck with Energy and not enough action cards. Keep it balanced!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
