You can measure the rate of photosynthesis by counting the oxygen bubbles produced by an aquatic plant like Elodea. It's like watching plant magic happen in real-time!

Just count the number of leaves produced over time. More leaves generally mean more photosynthesis.

Place a plant under varying light intensities and measure the uptake of CO2 using a gas exchange system. More light, more photosynthesis – usually!
