You can't really use a mouse and keyboard on Splatoon without some fancy footwork (or, more accurately, fancy tech work). Since Splatoon was designed for Nintendo's consoles, it primarily supports their controllers. However, some players have tried using custom controller settings or third-party software on PC emulators, but these might not give you the best experience or could be against terms of service. Stick to your Joy-Cons for the best ink-splattering fun!

Forget the mouse and keyboard! Embrace the squid life with a Pro Controller or Joy-Cons for a true Splatoon experience!

I tried using a mouse and keyboard setup through some tweaks, but honestly, it just isn't great. Splatoon is much more fun on traditional controllers!
