From my experience, always scout potential locations first. Make sure they align with your community鈥檚 needs鈥攎ore beds, facilities, or better defenses. Then claim it using your Influence!
You get a new base by claiming a home site with the power of Influence!
To move your base in State of Decay 2, head to your map and look for potential home sites marked with a house icon. Once you've found the perfect spot, drive over there and pay the Influence cost to make it your new base. Easy peasy!
