Oh man, I feel you, some folks just don't know when to zip it. Here's what ya gotta do: while in the game, bring up the pause menu, go to 'Online', and then 'Players'. Select the player you want to silence for good and hit 'Mute'. Boom, peace at last.

Honestly, I just turn off voice chat entirely. It's like the wild west out there.

Just hit 'em with the mute. Pause menu > Online > Players, and pick your target. Silence is golden.
