You need a T8 or T10 torx screwdriver. Remove the faceplate, then the side panels. Carefully unclasp and separate the casing halves. Blast compressed air inside. Reassemble.

Why bother opening it? Just use a vacuum or compressed air around the vents!

First-hand tip: Make sure everything is unplugged! To open, use a T8 Torx screwdriver. Take your time with the clips; they can be a bit tricky but gentle pressure works wonders. Use compressed air or a tiny brush for dust. You'll notice a performance boost after cleaning, and your Xbox will thank you!

Grab a torx screwdriver (T8 or T10). First, remove the faceplate and the side panels. Unsnap the clips around the casing and then carefully pull apart the two halves. Clean dust with compressed air, and use isopropyl alcohol for sticky spots. Replace everything in reverse order. Voila!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
