Honestly, just plug it in with a 3.5mm jack if your headset and controller support it. Way less hassle.
Turn on your console and headset. Press and hold the connect button on your headset until the LED light starts flashing. Then, press the connect button on your Xbox console. Easy peasy!
I had the same issue last week. Turn on the Xbox, hold the pairing button on your Turtle Beach headset until it blinks. Then hit the pair button on your Xbox. Worked like a charm for me!
