To pick off a baserunner in MLB The Show 23, press L2 (on PlayStation) and then quickly press the corresponding base button (e.g., circle for first base). Timing is everything!

As someone who spends WAY too much time on MLB The Show, my trick is to press L2 and then the base button right after the pitcher comes to a set. Works like a charm!

Just hold L2 and flick the right stick towards the base where you want to pick off. Simple but effective.
