Hold the button for the base (like Circle for first) and then flick the right stick. It's all about catching them off guard!
To pick off a runner, press and hold the corresponding base button (like Circle for first base) and then flick the right stick towards that base. Timing is everything!
Just press and hold the base button and push the right analog stick. Boom, runner gone!
Honestly, I hardly ever use the pickoff move. Just focus on controlling the pitch and keeping the runner in check.
