Use smaller words to limit openings for your opponent. The fewer premium spaces you leave open, the better!

I've found that keeping a balance between vowels and consonants helps. It prevents me from getting stuck and allows better board control.

Playing defensively isn’t just about blocking. Use the less common letters like Z, X, and Q to create tough board positions.

Don’t be afraid to swap out tiles if you’re in a tough spot. Sometimes the best defense is not playing a bad turn!

If you're a Words with Friends player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Words with Friends essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
