Starting to play Pokemon cards is like jumping into an adventure with your favorite Pokemon! First thing, you need a deck—usually 60 cards, including Pokemon, Trainer, and Energy cards. Basic Pokemon cards are your fighters, and you can evolve them using their Evolution cards to make them stronger. Use Trainer cards for special actions like healing or drawing more cards. Energy cards power your Pokemon's attacks. Place a Basic Pokemon on the field to battle, and use Energy cards to enable its attacks against your opponent's Pokemon. The goal is to knock out your opponent's Pokemon and win Prize cards. Collect six Prize cards first, and you're the winner!

Honestly, just start by collecting any and all Pokemon cards. Then, find someone who knows how to play and learn through playing a couple of rounds with them. There's no better teacher than experience, and it's a blast!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
