Playing Pokemon TCG without energy cards seems like a tall order since Energy is what powers your Pokemon's abilities to attack and all. But, you could get creative and set up house rules - like assigning a set number of 'free' attacks per turn, or maybe using dice rolls to simulate the energy costs. Not traditional, but could be a fun twist!

I've actually tried this with my friends for a quick game when we didn't have our decks on us. We assigned each attack a number from 1-6 and used a die to decide if we could 'afford' the attack that turn. It wasn't perfect, but it was a fun experiment!

Short answer: You can't, not in any official capacity. Energy cards are a core part of the game mechanics in Pokemon TCG. Trying to play without them would be like trying to swim without water!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
