First up, you'll need two controllers to get the split-screen party started. Boot up your game and head over to Robin’s carpentry shop to build a cabin for each additional player you want to join in on your farm. Once that’s all set up, just pop open the menu, hit the 'Co-op' button, and select 'Local'. Boom, your buddy can now join in as a farmhand on your farm through split screen!

Actually, it's super easy. Just make sure you have a cabin for your friend to live in and then activate co-op from the main menu. Stardew Valley is all about cooperation and sharing the farming life!

Honestly, not everyone thinks split-screen mode is the best way to play Stardew Valley on the Switch. It can get a bit cramped on one screen. Online multiplayer might be the way to go if you value your screen real estate.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
