Make sure your game supports mouse and keyboard input. Not all games do! Go to Settings -> Devices & connections -> Mouse to configure.
Just plug in your mouse and keyboard into the USB ports on your Xbox. Some games support it natively, like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone.
