How to Plot a Linear Equation
SawingBully·2 months agoFirst, find the slope (m) and y-intercept (b) from the equation y=mx+b. Then, plot the y-intercept on the y-axis. From there, use the slope to find another point. For example, if m=2, go up 2 units and 1 unit to the right. Connect the dots and voilà, you’ve got a line!

Easy peasy! Just plug some x-values into your equation, solve for y, and plot those (x, y) points. Connect the dots and you've got your line!
Personal tip: Start by plotting the y-intercept, then use the slope as rise over run to determine the next point. Draw a line through your points, and you're set!
