Definitely stockpile resources before you jump into hardmode. I'm talking ores, wood, and especially those hard-to-get items you might not think about. Also, build a proper base if you haven't yet, because those hardmode mobs aren't joking around. And don't forget to craft the best weapons and armor you can before flipping the switch.

The most underrated tip: create a Hallow barrier around your base or at least section off parts of the world with deep trenches to prevent the spread of corruption or hallow. It might seem like a lot of work, but it'll save you a ton of headache later.

Honestly, just make sure you have fun. Hardmode can be a grind, but it鈥檚 all part of the Terraria experience. Enjoy the challenge!

Hot take: Don't bother prepping. Jump in and adapt. Makes it way more exciting.

Fish. Lots of fishing. Stack up on crates and don鈥檛 open them until you're in hardmode. They'll give you hardmode ores and bars without you needing to break a single altar, keeping your world a bit cleaner of corruption.
