You can also block or unfriend the persistent tagger if all else fails! Drastic, but effective!
Don't wanna get tagged? Go to 'Settings & Privacy,' then 'Settings,' and find 'Timeline and Tagging.' Set it to 'Only Me' for maximum control.
I just told my friends not to tag me. Communication works wonders!
