Just a heads up, you can't put bait on the basic Bamboo Pole. Gotta upgrade to at least a Fiberglass Rod. Then, just click the bait and then your rod in the inventory. Easy peasy.

Nah, you're doing it all wrong. Just drag and drop, people. If you have the correct rod, that is.

To put bait on a rod in Stardew Valley, you first need to make sure you have the right kind of rod - the Fiberglass Rod or the Iridium Rod, cuz the basic Bamboo Pole won't let you use bait. Once you got your rod, open your inventory, pick up the bait (left click or tap and hold on mobile), and then right click or tap on the rod. Boom! Your rod's now baited and ready to catch some fish!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!
