Ohh, getting ready to catch some big ones, huh? In Stardew Valley, you can't actually 'put a hook' on the fishing pole in the way you might be thinking. The game simplifies fishing so all you need to do is equip the fishing rod from your inventory, head to a body of water, and cast away. If you're looking to upgrade your fishing experience, keep an eye out for tackle and bait which you can use once you've got the Fiberglass Rod or better. Happy fishing!

Actually, you don't put a hook on the fishing pole. You upgrade your rod and add bait or tackle to enhance fishing. It's more about the gear than the tiny details.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!
