It's pretty easy! Just hop into the game, and before you start a level, look for the 'low detail mode' option. It should be right there on the screen. Toggle it on, and you're all set to play with less detail, which can really help if your device struggles with the game's more intense visuals.
Disagree with the need for low detail mode. Geometry Dash runs fine on most devices, and you miss out on the full experience with it on. Not worth it, IMO.
