To store items in your ship in Starfield, just head to your spaceship's cargo hold, open the inventory menu, and transfer the items from your personal inventory. Make sure you don't overload your ship's capacity!
Just drag and drop your stuff into the ship's storage. Voil脿, you're now a space hoarder!
I found it super easy: walk up to the ship's storage area, open the transfer menu, and swap it from your inventory.
