Lower in-game settings, like turning off motion blur or lowering the resolution. It can really help with performance.
Save frequently and restart the game every now and then. Subnautica can get a bit laggy after a while.
I found that reducing clutter in the game (less junk and fewer structures) helped my game run smoother. Subnautica can get overwhelmed with too much stuff!
Make sure your Xbox isn't running too hot. Clean out the vents and give it some breathing space!
