Oh, the joy of gifting gone wrong! Fear not; refunding a gift on Steam is as easy as pie. First, the gift must be unclaimed. If the recipient hasn't added the game to their library, you can go to your Steam Inventory, select the gift, and click 'Refund Gift.' Boom! Money back in your pocket. If they've accepted it, they'll need to initiate the refund request themselves through their Steam account. Remember, Steam's refund policy applies here: the request must be made within 14 days of purchase, and the game shouldn't be played for more than 2 hours.

Been there, done that. My buddy accidentally bought me a game I already had. He could refund it super easy before I claimed it. Steam's pretty cool about it as long as you catch it early!

Actually, you can't refund a gift once it's accepted. Game over, man.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
