Super easy! Go into their equipment screen and replace the armor with something else. Problem solved!
Nah, you can't just 'remove' it. Swap it out for something better and call it a day. Trust me!
Just open the inventory screen, select the companion, and equip a different armor piece. The original armor will be removed automatically!
