I've found that baking soda paste works well. Mix baking soda with a bit of water, apply to the scuffs, and scrub lightly with a toothbrush. Rinse and admire the results!

Just grab a bit of toothpaste (non-gel), apply it to the scuff, and use an old toothbrush to scrub. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Easy peasy!
