Stories disappear in 24 hours, so don't stress too much if you can't remove it immediately.
Once, I accidentally posted an embarrassing story! I quickly deleted it by clicking on it, then tapping the three dots and choosing 'Delete.' Crisis averted!
Simply go to your story, tap the three dots in the top right corner, and select 'Delete Photo' or 'Delete Video.' Voila, it's gone!
