You'll need to disassemble the console, desolder the old HDMI port, and then solder a new one in its place. Not for the faint-hearted!

Replacing the PS5 HDMI port is definitely a job for someone comfortable with electronics repair. You'll need to disassemble the PS5, desolder the old port, and solder a new one in place. If you're not experienced, I highly recommend taking it to a professional repair shop to avoid damaging your console further.

Why not get a pro? The PS5 is just too precious to risk breaking it more with a DIY job.

Honestly, just take it to a professional. Trying this at home can turn your PS5 into an expensive paperweight. Trust me, I learned the hard way!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
