Replacing a PS4 hard drive is easier than you think! Unplug your PS4, remove the plastic covering on the left side, unscrew the bracket holding the hard drive, remove the old drive, insert the new one, and reassemble. Just make sure to back up your data first!

First-hand experience here - I replaced my PS4 hard drive with a 2TB one! All you need is a Phillips screwdriver and a USB stick for the system software. Follow the iFixit guide for super detailed steps - it's a lifesaver!

Just buy an external hard drive; it's quicker and easier.

Ensure you have the new hard drive formatted and a firmware update on a USB. Then, it's a simple unscrew, swap, and reassemble process.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
