How to Replace Thermal Paste on Xbox 360
ComputingTopaz路5 months agoAlright, get ready for some console surgery! First, grab your tools (Torx screwdriver, thermal paste, and cleaning materials). Disassemble the Xbox 360 by removing the faceplate, screws, and case. Carefully take out the heatsink, clean off the old paste, then apply a pea-sized dot of new thermal paste on the CPU and GPU. Put everything back together and game on!

I recently did this on my old 360. Open it up, clean the old gunk off with isopropyl alcohol, then apply a small amount of fresh thermal paste on the processors. Reassemble everything carefully and you'll notice a cooler Xbox!
Yo it's simple! Just take it apart, clean off the old junk, slap on some new paste, and reassemble. Done deal!
First, power off and unplug the console. Carefully remove the case and disassemble to get to the heatsink. Clean old thermal paste, apply a new small amount, and reassemble. It鈥檚 all about patience!
