Sorry, mate, but you can't reset research points in Helldivers directly. Each point you earn is permanently assigned to the upgrades you've selected. The only way to "reset" is by unlocking more points through gameplay to invest in other upgrades. Keep diving, soldier!

Actually had a chat with a dev once at a gaming con, and yeah, research points are locked in once you spend them. Best advice? Plan your upgrades carefully and enjoy the grind for more points.
