In my experience, running games as admin fixes a ton of issues. A must-do for modded games or older titles that are picky about permissions.

Honestly, just set Steam itself to run as admin and it'll do the trick for most games. Right-click on Steam's shortcut, Properties > Compatibility > Run this program as administrator.

Super easy! Just right-click on the game in your Steam library, go to Properties > Local Files > Browse. This opens the game's folder. Find the game's executable (.exe), right-click it, go to Properties > Compatibility, and check 'Run this program as an administrator'. Boom, done!

Not worth it. Running as admin can cause more problems than it solves. Better to troubleshoot the actual issue.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
