How to run Steam on a Chromebook
RequestingFinal路7 months agoHonestly, just don't. Chromebooks aren't built for gaming, especially not the kind of games you find on Steam. You're better off saving for a PC or a gaming laptop.

The easiest way to get Steam running on your Chromebook is by using the Linux (Beta) feature on newer ChromeOS versions. First, enable Linux on your Chromebook from the settings. Then, download the Steam installation file for Linux from the official Steam website. Open the Terminal, navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file, and type 'sudo dpkg -i steam_latest.deb' followed by 'sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install steam'. Boom! You should have Steam up and running.
I've been running Steam on my Chromebook using the Linux (Beta) feature, and it works like a charm for indie games and older titles. Don't expect to run AAA games smoothly, though. It's a Chromebook, not a high-end gaming PC.
