You just need to use AirPlay! Click the AirPlay icon on your Mac, pick your Roku from the list, and start streaming.
Just trust me鈥擜irPlay is the answer. Click the icon, choose Roku, done.
To screencast from your Mac to Roku, open System Preferences > Displays and click 'AirPlay Display.' Select your Roku from the list, and you're good to go!
