You can't actually search through your Instagram messages. Sorry, but it's not a feature they offer yet.
Hey there! Just tap on your DMs (the paper airplane icon), then use the search bar at the top to find messages by username or keywords. Easy peasy!
I always use the search bar in my DMs. Just enter a username or keyword and voila! Found it!
