To see messages from a blocked Instagram account, unblock the user first. Go to your profile, tap the menu, find 'Settings', then 'Privacy', and 'Blocked Accounts' – from there just unblock 'em.
You won't see messages from someone you blocked until you unblock them. Keep them blocked if that's for the best!
