To smelt black metal in Valheim, you need to build a blast furnace. First, defeat Moder to get Dragon Tears, then craft the Artisan Table. After that, use 5 Surtling Cores, 10 Iron, and 20 Fine Wood to build the blast furnace. Load it up with coal and black metal scrap, and voila, you're in business!

Yo just get 5 Surtling Cores, 10 Iron, 20 Fine Wood, and an Artisan Table. Then use the blast furnace to smelt black metal scrap into black metal bars. Simple.

Get the Artisan Table set up using Dragon Tears from defeating Moder. Then, use that to build a blast furnace and smelt away!

Defeat Moder for Dragon Tears, build the Artisan Table, then use it to make a blast furnace. Black metal scrap + coal = black metal.
