To summon the Eater of Worlds in Terraria, you gotta break three Shadow Orbs found in the Corruption biomes. These orbs are deep inside the chasms, surrounded by Ebonstone, which you'll need a Nightmare Pickaxe or better to mine through. Or, for an explosive approach, use Dynamite or Bombs to bust your way in. Each Shadow Orb you smash gives you a chance for a rare item drop but breaking the third one will awaken the Eater of Worlds. Gear up before you go orb-smashing, because this boss is no joke!

Just use Worm Food! Craft it at a Demon Altar with 30 Vile Powder (made from Vile Mushrooms) and 15 Rotten Chunks (dropped by Eaters of Souls). No need to go orb smashing - just use the Worm Food wherever in the Corruption, and bam, you鈥檝e got yourself an Eater of Worlds to fight.

Honestly, just smashing Shadow Orbs is a waste of time. Make the Worm Food. It's way more efficient.
