How to Spawn Mushroom NPC in Terraria
So, wanna get the Truffle to move in? Here's the scoop: First up, you gotta create yourself a surface Mushroom biome. You need at least 100 blocks of Mushroom grass seeds or mushrooms to make this happen. Do this by spreading mushroom grass seeds on some mud blocks. Remember, this has to be above ground level, not underground. Once that's set up and looking all mushroom-y, build a house in the biome. Make sure it's got all the usual house requirements—walls, a door, a table, a chair, and lighting. Do all that, and the Truffle, our beloved Mushroom NPC, will move in as long as there's an available house. Pretty cool, right?

Short and sweet version: Make a surface Mushroom biome with at least 100 Mushroom blocks. Build a proper house in it. Truffle will show up if he's got a room to move into.
Honestly, getting the Truffle to move in is a real hassle. Just find a Mushroom biome seed online and save yourself the headache.
