Nah, you can't literally spin butterflies in Hogwarts Legacy. It’s more about interacting with them in specific locations for magical effects or missions!

I spent a solid hour trying to 'spin' a butterfly because someone told me it was a secret spell. Turns out, you just need to interact with them. There's no spinning like you're DJing at a wizard party.

To spin the Butterfly in Hogwarts Legacy, you're gonna want to find a Butterfly first, obviously. Then, make sure your character is standing close to it. Use the interact button (the game will show you which one based on your platform - PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC). It's more about timing and less about actual spinning. The game doesn't have a complicated mechanic for spinning things per se, but getting close and interacting at the right moment does the trick.

If you're a Hogwarts Legacy player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
