To build stairs in The Sims FreePlay, you need to have a two-story house. First, add the second floor by selecting the 'Floor Construction' tab. Then, go to the 'Stairs' section in the Home Store, pick your favorite design, and place it where you want. Voila, your Sims can now move between floors!

You can鈥檛 build stairs in a single-floor house. Upgrade to a two-floor house and then place the stairs from the Home Store.
