Disable similar account suggestions in 'Settings' under 'Privacy' options, but remember, it's not a foolproof way!
You can make your Instagram account private, which should stop it from being suggested to people you're not already connected with. Just go to your profile, tap the three lines in the top right corner, select 'Settings', then 'Privacy', and toggle 'Private Account'. Problem solved!
